RE: NAME OF CHILD, 3 DAY VACATION FROM SCHOOL
I would like to request the above child be excused from school for Wednesday 31st April to Friday 2nd May. He has been selected to represent the Professional Football Academy (PFA) in the prestigious Norhalne Cup in Denmark. This competition which is now its 25th year has clubs sending squads from Brazil, Czech Republic,
England, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden,
Ukraine, and Denmark. Many of the squads are professional clubs from their own countries. Players from all over Essex have been scouted and only 18 players will represent the PFA in each age group and it therefore an honour to be selected.
Professional Football Academy believes that the benefits of young players attending European Tournaments are immense. We find that the holistic development of the players is a vitally important part of their overall growing up process, in particular benefiting the players’ football development for both on and off the pitch. We notice that young players tend to become more responsible and more considerate and it offers the opportunity for coaches to see players in a different environment, as we encourage them to learn new aspects.
Each player will have 60 minutes per day set aside for study where homework and revision will take place under the guidance of our experienced coaching staff and we ask our players traveling that they ask their respective schools to issue some homework while they are away.
