FOOTBALL TRIALS

Professional Football Academy hold regular trial days to ensure that we can offer players every chance to be in the spotlight and show our professional scouts that they have the ability and attitude to become a professional player.

During these trials players will be watched by professional scouts and those who impress may be invited to further their ambitions of becoming a professional player. Our professional scouts will monitor the ability levels of every player and those who are identified as having the required talent and determination may be invited to train at a PFAtraining centre. The selected players will be offered a place at one of our Academy centres and enter our specially designed training programme that will help each player develop the required skills  required to move into the professional game. Our UEFA/FA qualified coaches will work alongside the players to ensure they have every chance of turning pro.

Players who are successfully chosen to represent the PFA will train under professional UEFA/FA qualified coaching staff on a weekly basis and have a monthly match schedule arranged. Your training and matches will be regularly assessed and you will be challenged to develop a range of technical and tactical skills. You will have regular video analysis sessions and get advice on fitness development and injury prevention. A specialist skills coach will work closely with you to develop high level skills. These squads will also be placed into our "Spotlight" games where we will play against professional clubs, where the club scouts may ask to sign you into their own Academy. This 9 month coaching & training programme will enable you to increase your chance of turning pro.
